There is much for Theatre West Virginia to be thankful for this year and the Institute of Outdoor Drama is at the top of our list. Thank you so much for your constant support.

Thank you IOD for 22 years of teaching and molding me into a person worthy of the Mark R. Summer Award.  The jewel set in my crown is but a reflection of IOD's worth and wealth that the staff and conference attendees spread far and wide.

I just wanted to say that the [January 2013] auditions were fantastic for my students.  The early time was great over the MLK Jr Holiday, from our standpoint the semester had just started so we weren’t in the thick of rehearsals yet, or classes or any of those other things we do.  Plus the students had the entire winter holiday to focus on those auditions.  Also the laid back, educational atmosphere was great, good for my younger ones who were experiencing their first professional auditions.  The meet and greet with the companies on Friday helped put my non singers at ease, knowing that there were companies looking for straight actors and not musical theatre.
